Fairfax City and the County Around It
When people say Fairfax they might mean the City of Fairfax, with Old Town, Mosby Woods, and the streets around George Mason, or the county neighborhoods that share the mailing address: Fair Oaks, Fair Lakes, Mantua, Kings Park, and the areas off Route 50 and Route 123. We serve all of it. Fairfax is about 30 minutes east on I-66 from our yard in Haymarket.
Driveways That Have Been Overlaid Too Many Times
Much of Fairfax City and the older county neighborhoods were built in the 1950s and 60s. The driveways there are often on their third or fourth overlay, sitting high against the garage floor and the public sidewalk with water pooling at the seam. In those cases we recommend removing the old pavement and rebuilding to the correct grade. Where the driveway still drains and the base is sound, a resurface or a saw-cut repair is the better buy, and we will tell you so.
